Brazil 81/82, green, L 21"p2p, 26"s2h, 30.5"c2c

£44.00

I was 10 during the 1982 World Cup and I remember pegging it home from school for the 4pm kick off’s. It was my first World Cup and I couldn’t believe it. Everyday was like Christmas Day. I remember it so well. Englands amazing start against France and Keegan almost scoring against Spain which would have seen us through. What I really remember is that Brazil team. I fell in love with them and still love them for their absolute joy of playing with such freedom, exuberance and skill. I’d never seen anything like it and I’m not sure I have since. The names still roll off the tongue Zico, Eder, Falcao, Cerezo, Oscar, Junior and of course Socrates. I always felt sorry for Serginho the centre forward who always looked out of place in the team. I’m still heart broken by their defeat by the Italians. Anyway I saw them wearing an amazing training top so I printed some. I’m a sucker for big badges.

Handprinted on a preloved vintage green sweatshirt, with yellow eco ink front and reverse.

Measures: 21” pit to pit, 26” shoulder to hem and 30.5” collar to cuff.
