Club Olimpia '82, black XL (24"p2p, 27"s2h, 33"c2c)

Paraguay are a bit of a football enigma. They have double the population of Uruguay but don’t have the same football heritage or success at international level as Uruguay. I wonder if it’s because Paraguay is land locked so didn’t get the same migration from football mad countries as Argentina or Uruguay which helped promote the game. At club level however they have in Club Olimpia of Asuncion a team that helped put Paraguayan football on the map. From the mid 1970’s through to the early 2000’s Club Olimpia had unprecedented success. They won their first Copa Libertadores in 1979 defeating Boca Juniors over the two legs and repeated the success in 1990 and 2002 against Atletico Nacional and Sao Caetano respectively. They also were runners up in 1960, 1989, 1991 and 2013. Not bad at all for a team from Paraguay. Anyway I found a picture of the 1982 kit made by Topper and with a massive badge and a great sponsor so I printed some up.

Handprinted on a preloved vintage black sweatshirt, with gold eco ink.

Measures: 24” pit to pit, 27” shoulder to hem and 33” collar to cuff.
