Deportivo Cali '86, green, M 19"p2p, 27.5"s2h, 30"c2c

£34.00

Carlos Valderrama is my kind of footballer. Strolling around the park like he owns it and playing like it’s a bit of a fun. Playing No. 10 in that creative attacking midfield role. Picking out passes nobody else sees. I first saw him play at Italia 90. As soon as you saw him you couldn’t take your eyes off him. It wasn’t just the amazing hair it was his nonchalance and arrogance on the pitch. He seemed to have more time than anyone else. He was so relaxed on the ball, he reminded me of Platini playing in his own time zone. El Pibe was mesmeric, a true footballing maverick. I loved that Colombian team. I was reading about his time at Deportivo Cali in the mid 1980’s and saw a picture of him wearing this stunning Le Coq Sportif shirt from ‘86 with the Bretana sponsorship and massive Deportivo Cali badge. I fell in love with the top, had a few green sweats so I printed some up.

Handprinted on a preloved vintage green sweatshirt, with gold eco ink.

Measures: 19” pit to pit, 27.5” shoulder to hem and 30” collar to cuff.
