Double Dutch, red, M/L 21" p2p, 24" s2h, 26.5" c2c (Boxy)

£40.00

One of my very favourite tunes. I absolutely love this record. It’s so unique. A mad mash up of hip hop and South African township groove. It just makes me want to dance. I remember watching a documentary where some UK rappers thought Malcolm McLaren had invited hip hop because it was one of the first hip hop inspired records to do well. The whole album Duck Rock is great. I love the tune Soweto and Buffalo girls which were also singles. The intro of the DJs speaking to the caller is amazing and then the sound of the skipping ropes. It was released in 1983 so I was 12 and it sounds like it was made tomorrow. I also love the Cooper Black font so I printed a few tops up with print front and back.

Handprinted on a preloved vintage red sweatshirt, with black ink front and reverse.

Measures: 21” pit to pit, 24” shoulder to hem and 26.5" collar to cuff.
