Guardian Angels, red, XL 25"p2p, 28"s2h, 33"c2c

£34.00

Like a lot of kids I had my favourite heroic characters on TV. I used to love the cartoons such as Tarzan, Battle of the Planets, Spider-Man and His Amazing friends, Captain Caveman and of course Scooby Do.  I never really got on with He-Man. All those battles between good and evil. Every week watching my cartoon heroes foil the dastardly deeds of the evil doers. As a kid you always dreamed of doing the same, outwitting those bad people out there and protecting the people you care for. When I was young I remember watching a TV news report about this group of volunteers in America who were doing just that. They wore T shirts, bomber jackets and berets. They looked amazing. Traveling on the Subway protecting the community from criminals. How cool is that. It got me interested in direct action and the power of people coming together to make change happen. I remember they came to London (sadly they didn’t make it to Bury). I love the look and that logo is fantastic. They are still out there doing their work, protecting the people of NYC.  Respect to the Guardian Angels – Safety Patrol.

Handprinted on a preloved vintage red sweatshirt, with white eco ink.

Measures: 25” pit to pit, 28” shoulder to hem and 33” collar to cuff.
