Hit The North, teal, M 19.5"p2p, 25.5"s2h, 28"c2c

£34.00

Like everyone growing up in the 1980s I used to listen to Radio 1 most of the time. It was always on. I remember listening one day and Wet Wet Wets smash hit Wishing I Was Lucky was for some bizarre reason followed by Hit The North – Part 1 by some band I’d never heard before called The Fall. I remember thinking that doesn’t sound like Wet Wet Wet. I couldn’t quite hear the words apart from Hit The North and some interesting vocal sounds and screeches but that was enough for me. I’d discovered The Fall and then things changed. John Peel, the sessions, the festive 50 and discovering all the earlier records. Discovering they were formed just down the road in Prestwich was crazy as well. A friend of mine was asked as an ice breaker at a meeting what his superpower was and he said ‘being from the North’ I like that. Anyway I love the Heated Words font so printed some tops saying Hit The North because I wanted to wear one.

Handprinted on a vintage preloved teal sweatshirt, with black eco ink.

Measures: 19.5” pit to pit, 25.5” shoulder to hem and 28” collar to cuff.
