Scorpio, purple, XL 24"p2p, 28"s2h, 33"c2c (Second)

£30.00

Scorpio (aka Mr. Ness), was a member of the amazing Furious 5 who with Grandmaster Flash made some of my favourite early old school hip hop records. Scorpio is also a tune from The Message LP released in 1982.  Anyway found this brill image of a Scorpio sweatshirt taken by the amazing street photographer Jamel Shabazz who documented the NYC hip hop scene from the late 70s onwards.  I love the DIY style of the fashion back then and heated words font. Popping into a shop to get your own message printed up there and then was great fun.

Handprinted on a preloved vintage purple sweatshirt, with gold eco ink. This top has enjoyed a fantastic previous life so shows a few stains on the front and has a few small holes so it’s a bit cheaper. See pic.

Measures: 24” pit to pit, 28” shoulder to hem and 33” collar to cuff.
